Not Sure You Have Water Damage? Here’s Why to Call Anyway

Category: Water Damage Restoration

Minneapolis received a heaping helping of rain the week before last. Now with temperatures climbing up to normal for this time of year, humidity will become an issue. Mold and mildew will begin forming in places you may never guess.

When is the last time you checked for water damage in your home?

You really can’t tell whether many building materials are wet without using a moisture reader. This is important to know because if things are not dried to their proper moisture content, mold growth is promoted. This can lead to health complications such as asthma, respiratory issues, and headaches.

While some people can be severely affected, others show no symptoms at all.

Any time you find water where it’s not supposed to be, get it checked out.

When it comes to water damage, things can often be a lot worse than they appear on the surface. It may be hiding inside walls if, let’s say, the drain on your sink leaked and water got down into the kitchen cabinet. Even though there is no water on the floor, you need to figure out where it went.

Most people have no idea what to do in situations like this, and it can cause a bit of a panic mode.

We come into their homes and, because we deal with situations like this on a daily basis, we can remain calm. We can treat the problem to get them back into a healthy situation.
